Anonymous

Another one of my blogs. But I want to talk about something interesting. Computer hacking, or more specifically Anonymous. Anonymous are a huge global hacking group that have hacked many companies and even governments. Armed with the belief that internet should not be censored or controlled, they want freedom on the web for all people. Members of anonymous are highly skilled and have avoided the authorities despite many grand hacks on large companies. Some of the companies include MasterCard, Visa, The Sun newspaper, H.B. Gary, Sony and even the FBI fell under pressure from the group.

The hack I found most entertaining to me is the hack on HB Gary. The American security company declared that they would be unmasking and publishing details about Anonymous members. In response to this Anonymous retaliated with a hack that shut down the company web page, stole details and published them online for all to see. They do not forgive, they do not forget. Expect them!

Although the thought that such a large, global organisation has such dominating power is both scary and compelling. Although fiction and hopefully impossible Die Hard 4.0 may have had the right idea with the idea of a Fire Sale. But as many have said with great power comes great responsibility. But Anonymous claim to be a peaceful group. The cause seems valid and worthwhile and their methods... well, awesome! But what will they stop at to put their point across. The masks are cool and mysterious and their message is clear and point making. I'm all for Anonymous and the fact that they are putting the government and press in such fear that they will not even publish the fact that Anonymous has begun its 1 year plan to literally change the world. They will go down in history as the hacktivists who brought about there beliefs.

They Are Anonymous.
They Are Legion.
They Do Not Forgive.
They Do Not Forget.
Expect Them!!!
